This
is a stunning centrepiece by Doulton, marked Doulton Burslem, earlier than Royal Doulton. This is a huge piece, measuring 12"
across when the handles are included, or 10" across the rim, and
5" high. The pattern is Nankin, and the nice thing about this piece
is that it looks fantastic from every angle because it is completely
covered with pattern. The inside is blue and white with gold
embellishment, and the border is in imari colours of cobalt blue and a
rusty red. There is some green there as well, and under the border on
the outside there is a green trim.
