Wade cellulose figurine 'Romance', designed by Jessie Van Hallen for Wade. These cellulose figures were in production for only about a decade (1927-1937), but production ceased when Wade found that the cellulose was unstable, turning yellow and then peeling off. This one is in very good condition indeed, with very little flaking (one speck on the other side), and just some tiny nibbles of chips on the petals of her posy, and one petal gone, 16.5cm high.
